Production Manager – Saqi Books
 
Saqi Books is a leading UK publisher of academic and trade books on the Middle East.
 
We are looking for a Production Manager to look after our list of over 30 titles. You will be responsible for laying out books, supervising reprints and co-editions, maintaining the production schedule, liaising with designers and printers, sending books to print, and ensuring that book projects are delivered on time and within budget.
 
The successful candidate will have previous production experience, be fluent in the use of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop and will enjoy working as part of a small team.

Fred Halliday

Saqi author, Fred Halliday, the political analyst and international-relations scholar of worldwide renown, died on 26 April 2010 at the age of 64. Saqi would like to extend our condolences to all of Fred’s family, friends and colleagues. Saqi has been proud to publish a number of Fred’s books, including Two Hours That Shook the World, 'by far the best book on the catastrophe of 11 September' Observer. He will be missed.
